Election Day: Elementary school students cast votes for positive Monroe causes

MONROE, Conn. — While their parents decided on the town budget Tuesday, children from Monroe’s three elementary schools pondered issues of their own. In their election, students had to evaluate the merits of three worthy programs to determine which nonprofit should receive the biggest share of their $1,200 donation. Brazilian native shares his love of martial arts at RedZone Jiu Jitsu in Monroe

Jockey Hollow track and field team excels during first meet

BETHEL, Conn. — The Jockey Hollow Middle School track and field team recently traveled to Bethel to compete against Bethel, Whisconier and Dover middle schools in its first meet of the year.
