MONROE, Conn. — The Monroe Chamber of Commerce presents the first annual Lee Hossler Memorial Golf Tournament, which will be held at the Chris Bargas Golf Club at Whitney Farms, 175 Shelton Road, this Tuesday, June 2. All proceeds raised will fund scholarships for deserving Masuk High School seniors, as well as Chamber programs benefiting the community.
“It is going to be an honor to dedicate and reflect on our dearest Monroe Chamber ‘ambassador’ Lee Hossler,” Chamber President Ray Giovanni said. “His presence will be missed, but his spirit and energy will be the umbrella over the event as always.”
“We are so pleased that Lee’s entire family will be with us as we celebrate Lee‘s life of volunteerism for what he accomplished and gave of himself selflessly for all of Monroe,” Giovanni continued. “Lee assisted many organizations within the town. Lee was not only a great husband, father and grandfather who cared endlessly about his family, he felt the same way about the community that he served and served proudly.”
It is not too late to compete in the tournament. The cost is $225 per player, which includes green fees, a golf cart, refreshments, lunch and dinner. To register online visit MonroeCTChamber.com. For information, call 203-268-6518 or send an email to [email protected].
On Tuesday, following the 9:30 a.m. registration, there will be an 11 a.m. shotgun start, with refreshments and a break for lunch. After the tournament, the dinner will be held at 5 p.m.
