Monroe to ring in America’s 250th Birthday with a live reading on the green

MONROE, Conn. — The Monroe CT 250 Committee invites residents to join other Americans in ringing a bell 13 times at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, for each of the original 13 colonies who sent soldiers to fight for our country’s independence.
