Felicia Valus’ legacy lives on through the family she cherished, countless memories

Felicia Elizabeth Valus, (Wishneski), 93, formerly of Monroe, Conn., and most recently of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1932, in Fairfield, Conn. Felicia was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and faithful friend whose life was centered on family, faith, and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard John Valus of Monroe, her parents, Joseph and Helen Wishneski of Fairfield, and her siblings, Joseph Wishneski, Barbara Wishneski Wilson, and Lawrence Wishneski. Masuk Panthers win CIAC Spring Golf Classic

ORANGE, Conn. — Unbeaten thus far, the Masuk girls golf team tested itself against some tough competition from around the state in the CIAC Spring Golf Classic at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange on Monday. The Panthers passed with flying colors, winning with a team score of 177. Berlin was second with a score of 181. There were 11 teams in the event.
