Monroe voters pass $104.1 million town budget by about 125 votes

MONROE, CT — During a referendum marked by low voter turnout, Monroe voters passed a $104.1 million town budget for fiscal year 2024-25 by a vote of 704 to 579 Tuesday, according to unofficial results from the Registrars of Voters Office. A total of 1,283 people participated, which is 9.79 percent of the town’s eligible voters. Masuk rallies in 7th inning for 7-2 win over rival Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT — Down to their final three outs the Masuk High Panthers rallied to defeat Newtown 7-2 at Fairfield Hills on Friday night. The Panthers got stellar relief pitching from Justin Feinstein (four-and-two-thirds shutout frames) who picked up the win.
