NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — A magical Class L State Tournament run came to an end for underdog Masuk High’s baseball team on Tuesday night. The No. 12 Panthers fell 4-0 to top seed Lyman Hall in the semifinals. Masuk made its way to the semis behind a 4-1 win over No. 21 New London, a 6-2 victory over No. 5 Kaynor Tech and a 3-1 win over No. 20 Bristol Eastern. Zoning board approves a Town Fair Tire shop on Monroe Turnpike

MONROE, Conn. — The Planning and Zoning Commission granted an approval with conditions for a proposal allowing Town Fair Tire to move into the former Rite Aid pharmacy at 508 Monroe Turnpike and renovate the building.
