Masuk boys tip off season with win

MONROE, CT — The Masuk High boys basketball team opened the season with a 65-53 win over visiting Trumbull on Friday. Coach Pete Szklarz said it was a total team effort. Mitch DeBernardo led the way with 26 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Mario Testa opened Testo’s at 920 Madison Ave. in Bridgeport in 1976, and despite a change in ownership, a brief retirement and two different locations along the way, Testo’s continues to be a family operation 48 years later.
