A picture of Kinsley Kelso, 2, heading off to visit Minnie and Mickey Mouse during one of the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department’s family character nights was the winner on Wednesday.

Thursday’s winning photo is an action shot of Shane Pinkney, 8, playing with his Monroe Travel baseball team for children age 10-and-younger this past fall.

Both winners will receive a $25 gift card for parks and recreation programs.

The contest was held throughout the week, with winning photos of different memories each day.

On Monday, Ryan Frate, now 5, won for a photo of him jumping into the Wolfe Park pool last summer. There was a tie on Tuesday with photos of Abby Berwick taking a rest at the Rails to Trails entrance and of Girl Scout Troop 34012 doing a service project at the Webb Mountain campground.

It’s not too late to submit entries for Friday’s contest. The deadline is 8 p.m. The theme is photos showing a memory of attending one of the Arts in the Park Concerts at Wolfe Park.

Entries should be emailed to [email protected] or posted on the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department’s Facebook page. Then Orosz and Lea Clark, the recreation supervisor, will pick the winning photo.
