NEWTOWN, CT — Down to their final three outs the Masuk High Panthers rallied to defeat Newtown 7-2 at Fairfield Hills on Friday night. The Panthers got stellar relief pitching from Justin Feinstein (four-and-two-thirds shutout frames) who picked up the win. Masuk boys volleyball team blanks Bunnell

STRATFORD, CT — Coming off a hard-fought 3-2 setback to host Shelton on Tuesday, the Masuk High boys volleyball team beat Bunnell on the road 3-0 on Wednesday. Against Bunnell, Masuk won three relatively close sets, 25-18, 25-19 and 25-21. Dan Ferris had 11 kills and Nathan Kurkoski 29 assists to lead the way. Shelton prevailed 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 25-14, 21-25, 15-10). Nathan Kurkoski recorded 37 assists, Ferris 22 kills and Mathias Aoaeh five kills and six blocks.
