MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s boys volleyball team, the No. 4 seed in the Class L State Tournament, defeated No. 5 Wolcott Tech 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-15) in the quarterfinals on Friday. With the win, the Panthers advance to the semifinals on June 6 (opponent, time and location to be announced).
Nate McCauley had 19 kills, Daniel Ferris 13 kills, Nathan Kurkoski compiled 39 assists and Nicholas Adams six aces.
The Panthers had defeated No. 13 Oxford 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-14) on May 31.
