MONROE, CT — A male Monroe passenger, 17, was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for treatment of injuries after a gray 2007 Mazda 3 crashed into a utility pole on Monroe Turnpike, just south of Crown View Drive on April 26. Masuk’s baseball team battles SWC foes

MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s baseball team won two of three contests with South-West Conference opponents this past week, one with an impressive offensive outburst and the other with patience at the plate — without the benefit of a hit at that. The Panthers went on the road and defeated Notre Dame-Fairfield 9-2 on Monday, April 22. Quinn McGuire pitched 6.2 innings and struck out nine for the win. McGuire also added an RBI double.
