Masuk girls lacrosse wins OT thriller, blowouts

Charlotte Pinto had the overtime winner against New Fairfield.

MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s girls lacrosse team had quite a week, following up a 6-5 overtime win at New Fairfield on April 20 with an 18-1 home win over New Milford on April 23 and a 16-3 triumph at Brookfield on Thursday, April 25.

In the win over New Fairfield Charlotte Pinto had the game winning goal from Samantha Henry’s draw win and assist 15 seconds into OT. Bailey Bajda had two goals and eight draw controls. Lilly Cameron netted three goals. Sophie Clark made eight saves.

In the win over New Milford Bajda scored four goals. Henry and Cameron had three goals apiece. Pinto and Samantha Sullivan both scored twice. Devon Kreiner, Eve Fernandez, Allie Benedetto and Jill Kilcullen all added goals.

In the win over Brookfield Pinto led the way with six goals, Cameron had five, Bajda three and Henry and Kilcullen one apiece. Clark made seven saves.

The next game is Saturday when Fairfield Ludlowe visits at 11:30 a.m.
