For Masuk High’s girls basketball team the first quarter was the difference-maker in its 60-43 win over visiting Kolbe Cathedral of Bridgeport on Thursday. The Panthers outscored Kolbe 18-6 in the opening eight minutes. Both teams put up 19 in the second quarter, leaving Masuk on top 37-25 at the break.
