MONROE, CT — A tree fell onto a power line running through a wooded area near Webb Circle Sunday morning, knocking out power to 44 homes.

Police Capt. Keith White said Eversource has a crew on scene, so power should be restored fairly quickly.

First Selectman Ken Kellogg said the tree has already been cut down. The power company’s outage map estimates the time of restoration to be 11:30 a.m.
