Police recover stolen Ford Fusion in Bridgeport

MONROE, CT — A Penny Royal Lane woman reported her silver 2020 Ford Fusion SE stolen from her driveway Thursday, and the GPS tracked the vehicle to Bridgeport, where city police recovered it at the corner of Hancock and Railroad avenues, according to police.

Monroe police officers said the theft occurred sometime in the overnight hours from Wednesday to Thursday. The incident is still under investigation.

Fraud attempts rejected

A Monroe man told police someone made two failed attempts at using his Bank of America debit card, according to a complaint filed Wednesday.

Prior to speaking to police, the victim already contacted the three major credit bureaus. An officer recommended that he monitor his credit for irregularities. Police said there was no financial loss from the incident.
