Monroe police respond to rollover crash on Main Street

MONROE, Conn. — A 56-year-old North Carolina man was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with back pain following a one-vehicle-crash into a utility pole off Main Street on June 26. The accident sparked several 911 calls and temporarily closed off a portion of Route 25. Police said he was heading north on Route 25 around 9:32 a.m. when his red 2012 Nissan Rogue drifted to the right, struck the pole, bounced back into the roadway and rolled onto its left side, before coming to rest in the middle of the road.
