Monroe police arrest four suspects in a commercial burglary

MONROE, CT — A traffic stop at the intersection of routes 111 and 25 in Trumbull turned into arrests of four burglary suspects, who allegedly stole about $5,650 worth of scrap metal and pipes from Production Metals, 421 Old Zoar Road in Monroe, early Saturday morning. Four occupants in the gray 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was pulled over around 5:14 a.m. reportedly admitted to the theft and Trumbull officers contacted the Monroe Police Department, whose officers investigated the burglary, police said. Mario Testa opened Testo’s at 920 Madison Ave. in Bridgeport in 1976, and despite a change in ownership, a brief retirement and two different locations along the way, Testo’s continues to be a family operation 48 years later.
