Monroe man dies in fatal motorcycle crash on I-395 in Waterford

WATERFORD, CT — A Monroe man died in a fatal motorcycle crash on I-395 late Monday morning, according to a press release issued by Connecticut State Police Troop E.

Marc Pennino, 60, of 236 Roosevelt Drive, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead after being taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., police said Jillian C. Hayman, 36, of Boston, headed south in a gray Ford Fiesta in the right lane, when traffic slowed about a half mile from Exit 2.

Police said Pennino was not wearing a helmet when he entered the right lane on his blue Harley Davidson FXST Softail and struck the back of the Ford Fiesta, falling off his bike from the impact.

Hayman reportedly was not injured and both vehicles were towed.
