Great Hollow Lake’s Character Night stars Ryan San Angelo, Baby Shark, Winnie the Pooh

MONROE, CT — Ryan San Angelo, a children’s author and music performer, will headline a Character Night with Baby Shark and Winnie the Pooh at Great Hollow Lake tonight (Wednesday), from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Cricket Car Hop, a food truck, all be on hand selling food and drinks on the lake, 454 Purdy Hill Road.

Character Nights are held Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Families can enjoy an evening swim at the lake, use of the playground and build sand castles on the beach, while listening to children’s musical entertainment. They can bring snacks or make a purchase from a vendor.

“Don’t forget your camera when visiting our characters,” Parks and Recreation Director Missy Orosz said.

The Character Nights are free for Monroe residents with a valid Wolfe Park sticker. There is a $15 car entrance fee for town residents without a sticker and it’s $30 per car for nonresidents.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
