Dylan Napoleone, an experienced bass fisherman from CT, will be coming to present “Bass Fishing in CT.” This presentation will be informational and beneficial to people of all ages. The event is free and you’re guaranteed to leave the seminar feeling confident about catch bass in Connecticut lakes, ponds, and rivers. Learn how to fish for bass, what bait to use, and more. Ages birth through 6 with a caregiver. This week we will be showing the film The Land Before Time in the Ehlers Meeting Room at 10:45 a.m. There will be no stories this week. Kids can enjoy our train table, Duplo table, play house, puzzles, puppets, and other toys while caregivers get to know other adults in our community. We’ll have a fun activity set up in our Craft/Storyhour Rooms. Be sure to check out
books and other library materials to take home to enhance this early learning experience. Registration is not required.

The Monroe Town Hall Offices, Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, Monroe Highway Department, Monroe Senior Center, Monroe Food Pantry, Garder Road Landfill and Spring Hill Road Transfer Station will be closed today.

Recycling normally scheduled for pick-up today will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 29.
Big Y will be closed, reopening at 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
Stop & Shop will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m, re-opening at 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
CVS will be open from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. Pharmacy hours will be 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Rite-Aid will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Pharmacy hours will be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Walgreens will be open from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Pharmacy will be closed.
McDonald’s will be open today from 5 a.m. – 1 a.m.

Friday, Nov. 29, – Black Friday
The Monroe Town Hall Offices, Monroe Senior Center, Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, Monroe Food Pantry and the Monroe Highway Department will remain closed.
The Garder Road Landfill and the Spring Hill Road Transfer Station will be open at its normal business hours. No tickets will be sold today for either the Garder Road or Spring Hill location.

Saturday, Nov. 30, – Small Business Saturday
The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library will be OPEN today at their normal Saturday hours.
The Garder Road Landfill and the Spring Hill Road Transfer Station will be open at normal business hours.
Today is Small Business Saturday. Do your holiday shopping in town. Many stores will offer specials. Buy gift cards at local restaurants; buy some bottles of wine or spirits as gifts at your local liquor stores; browse the gift shops, jewelry stores, the nurseries and garden centers, the book shop, don’t forget
something for your pets!
