Thieves steal a Nissan Altima, target unlocked vehicles

MONROE, CT — A Nissan Altima was reported stolen from a Wheeler Road resident Friday. Police say the theft took occurred sometime overnight.

Lt. Steve Corrone said police also received multiple reports of thieves looking for unlocked vehicles.

Police remind residents to always lock their car doors and not to leave valuables inside.

Rollover crash

Police are investigating the cause of a rollover crash at the intersection of Hammertown and High Rock roads early Wednesday morning.

The driver, a 31-year-old Tempe, Ariz., man, was not injured and his damaged 2020 Toyota Corolla was towed, according to police. The accident occurred just before 1 a.m.

Firefighters and Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service personnel also responded to the accident.
