‘The future is bright’ for Masuk Girls Golf

The Masuk Girls Golf team finished in 3rd Place in the SWC Championship and second in the Colonial Division this year.

AVON, CT — Masuk girls golfers finished their season Monday, while placing seventh overall in the Girls Golf Division 2 State Championship, held at Farmington Woods Golf Course.

The Panthers finished with an overall regular season record of 11-3 and placed second in the Colonial Division and third in the SWCs.

“I’m very proud of the girls for a good season and a great finish,” Coach Justin Scarpati said. “I really enjoyed the experience. There is a great deal of young talent on this team — and hard workers. The future is bright for Masuk golf.”

On Monday, the Panthers had an overall team score of 430 in State Championship play. The par for the 18 hole course was 72.

Individual scores for Masuk were Lauren Breyan 103, Carrie Wittenauer 106, Lauren Rosati 109, Kate Wittenauer 112 and Izzy Roy 114.
