Stevenson firefighters honor America’s fallen with a Memorial Day Parade

Stevenson Volunteer Fire Co. apparatus makes its way north on Monroe Turnpike at the beginning of its Memorial Day Parade Saturday.

MONROE, CT — The town’s annual Memorial Day Parade was canceled this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so Stevenson firefighters held one of their own on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The procession left Stevenson Fire Station 2 at 1 p.m.

This was the second private drive-by-parade held for Memorial Day in town. Monroe Locals Supporting Drive By Birthday Parades had one last weekend.
