MONROE, CT — Voting for the special election for Connecticut Senate District 21, between State Rep. Jason Perillo, R-Shelton, and Stratford Town Councilman Tony Afriyie, a Democrat, will take place in one polling location on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
This election is only for registered voters living in District 1, who usually vote at Fawn Hollow Elementary School, and District 4, who usually vote at Masuk High School.
Polls will be open in the gym at the former St. Jude School, which is now the town community center site at 707 Monroe Turnpike, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 25.
The town Registrars Office sent out a notification of the polling place change.
The senate seat opened up following the resignation of longtime Republican senator, Kevin Kelly.
Early voting at Town Hall
Early voting will be available for the special election at Monroe Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road, on Feb. 20, 21, 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
