Letter: School board chairwoman supports fellow Republican O’Hara for Town Treasurer

Dear Editor,

I am writing to pledge my support for the re-election of Patrick O’Hara as Monroe Town Treasurer. Pat has served Monroe as an elected official for the past 18 years.

He has served on Board of Education, Town Council, Planning & Zoning and Board of Finance until assuming the Town Treasurer position in early 20019. Pat’s vast experience in our local government and our town finances makes him as asset to Monroe. Since taking the helm as Town Treasurer, Pat has strengthened relationships with the banking institutions and the return on investment Monroe has received since Pat’s tenure speaks volumes for the great work attributed to him.

Pat is a life long Monroe resident and proud graduate of Masuk High School. Along with his wife, Donna, he is the owner/operator of O’Hara’s Nursery; a local small business.

I am pleased to support Patrick O’Hara for Monroe Town Treasurer, along with Ken Kellogg for Monroe First Selectman and the entire Republican team. Please remember to come out and vote on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Let’s keep moving Monroe in the right direction.

Donna Lane

Chairwoman, Monroe Board of Education
