MONROE, CT — James D. Robinson II, 53, of Pachaug Trail, turned himself in on a warrant Saturday morning, charging him with failure to register as a sex offender.

Police received complaints that Robinson, a known registered sex offender, had been seen near a school bus stop in the Pachaug Trail area.
Detectives went to a house on Pachaug Trail and spoke to Robinson, who confirmed he was living there, according to police.
Police said Robinson failed to update his address on the sex offender registry. The Connecticut Sex Offender Registry is a free online database.
Robinson was released after posting seven percent of $5,000 court set bond and is scheduled to appear in court in Bridgeport on Oct. 27.
