PHOTOS: Masuk softball cleans up with car wash fundraiser

MONROE, CT — A steady line of vehicles formed in the Monroe Elementary School parking lot Sunday, as Masuk High School softball players used sponges drenched in soapy water to wipe away dirt from cars and trucks, before hosing it down for the drying station during the team’s car wash fundraiser.

Proceeds will be used for Senior Day on Saturday, May 13, celebrating the careers of seniors Ella Bunovsky, who plays first base, and catcher Izzy Viglione.

The Panthers expressed their gratitude to the Trumbull Home Depot for donating car washing supplies and MaryLou’s Ristorante, 401 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe, for donating pizzas to refuel the team.
