MONROE, CT — The No. 14 Masuk High girls soccer team got by No. 19 and visiting Ledyard 1-0 in the opening round of the Class L State Tournament on a windy, unseasonably warm Friday afternoon. Natalia Fabryk scored the goal with 15:31 remaining in regulation after Amelia Stephens dribbled the ball into the right corner and made a centering pass. Aldi celebrates grand opening of Monroe store

MONROE, CT — Shoppers welcomed the new Aldi supermarket to town with open arms Thursday morning, filling the parking lot in the upper level of Town Line Plaza, 205 Monroe Turnpike, and joining the long line of people anxiously waiting for the manager to open its doors.
