Masuk Drama’s rendition of ‘You’re Only Young Once’ brings the laughs

MONROE, CT – This weekend, Masuk drama students performed the play “You’re Only Young Once”, written by Glenn Hughes. The story takes place at Lincoln High in the 1940s. The action unfolds in the office of school secretary, Ms. Chandler (played by Muriel Bailey) on the day of the school’s homecoming game and dance. The play primarily follows troublemaking student, Gabby Gallagher (played by Daniel Fontana), as he creates mischief and drama. Closing of Family Shoes marks the end of an era in Monroe

Decades ago, families descended upon Family Shoes at Chuck’s Corner, 150 Main St. in Monroe, before the new school year as shoppers bought shoes and sneakers for classes and cleats for the upcoming baseball and football seasons.
