MONROE, Conn. — First Selectman Terry Rooney won a second consecutive term in 2025, when Republicans maintained majorities on all town boards and commissions, and Jason Perillo won a special election for the 21st Senatorial District seat after fellow Republican, Kevin Kelly, resigned to pursue a judicial appointment.
Monroe Democrats celebrated women in leadership roles during their Blue Legacy Gala and the GOP also recognized party members for outstanding achievements at the annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner.
