MONROE, Conn. — Superintendent Joseph Kobza announced that Monroe’s public schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, for a second day this week, as the town continues to clear its roads from snow following this weekend’s blizzard.
“Please continue to stay safe, stay warm, and give yourselves a little extra time to shovel out,” Kobza said in his message. “We’ll see everyone back soon.”
Gov. Ned Lamont had declared a state of emergency on Sunday into Monday for the storm, known as Blizzard Calvin, which buried the region in snow.
