MONROE, CT — Someone used a fake I.D. to intercept the delivery of two iPhones at a UPS pickup point at CVS Pharmacy, 511 Monroe Turnpike, according to a complaint made Thursday.
A 47-year-old Monroe woman told officers she bought the two phones from T-Mobile for $830 a piece, but was not home to sign for the delivery on Tuesday.
UPS rerouted the package to CVS, which has a pick up/drop off service and the customer received an alert that it was there Wednesday morning.
But when she went to the pharmacy to pick up her package on Thursday, she learned it had already been scanned and picked up by someone else the day before, according to the report.
The matter has been turned over to the Monroe Police Detective Division.
