MONROE, CT — Monroe police detectives arrested a 15-year-old juvenile for allegedly sending threatening emails to Masuk High School and Board of Education staff near the end, or after school hours, on Thursday.
The investigation of the emails led to the identification of the device and IP address, from which the threatening emails originated from. The threats were not deemed credible and there was no immediate threat to the school, according to police.
The Monroe juvenile was identified and charged with threatening in the second degree.
The teen was issued a juvenile summons and given a court date later in the month at 60 Housatonic Ave., Bridgeport, before being released to family.
