MONROE, CT — Two Wheeler Road men turned themselves in on warrants Monday charging them in an incident on July 23, 2024, in which a mother found her two-year-old with a gunshot wound in a hand and foot.
The child survived the injuries, according to police, who did not comment on how the incident occurred.
Barrington Strauchn, 31, the child’s father, was charged with risk of injury to a child and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. He was released on court-set $150,000 bond for a Jan. 28 court date at Bridgeport Superior Court.
Keith Brown, 58, a relative of the child, was charged with eight counts of illegal possession of high capacity magazines and failure to store/secure firearms with responsibility to restrict access to a minor. He was released on court set $50,000 bond for a Feb. 5 court date.
