Masuk swimmers pull away in win over Bunnell-Stratford

STRATFORD — The Masuk High boys’ swim team registered first-place scores in each of the first eight events before closing out the team victory and exhibitioning the final four events on the way to an 81-76 road victory on Tuesday.

Coach Emily DeMace’s Panthers registered 25 best times, had seven South-West Conference qualifiers, and two state qualifiers.

200 Medley Relay: 1. Roan Riordan, Ryan Youngcourt, Sam McHugh, Brendan Kirberger; 2. Keller Hall, Owen Smith, Riley Sheppard, Ryan Kanjo – 1:53.24.

200 Freestyle: 1. Kenny Clark – 1:59.05; 2. Jacob Urkawich – 2:23.56.

200 IM: 1. Kirberger – 2:19.93. 2. Sheppard – 2:22.00.

50 Free: 1. Clark – 23.92.

100 Butterfly: 1. Sheppard  – 1:00.88. 2. Hall – 1:01.34.

100 Free: 1. McHugh – 54.80.

500 Free: 1. Kirberger – 5:02.16.
