Masuk Football Club to host clothing drive, car wash, a pancake breakfast

MONROE, CT — Townspeople can support the Masuk Panther football program by contributing to a clothing drive, getting their cars washed and eating a stack of pancakes.

The football team is hosting three fundraisers, starting with the clothing drive at the high school, 1014 Monroe Turnpike, this Saturday, June 4, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“Clothing is going to Savers, who help organizations raise funds by paying by the pound for clothing and other goods collected,” said Elisabeth Medaris, co-vice president of the Masuk Football Club. “The Masuk Football Club then uses that money to fund much-needed transportation, equipment and meals.”

Then on Sunday, June 5, football players will run a car wash in the Monroe Elementary School parking lot, 375 Monroe Turnpike, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Donations will be accepted in cash or by Venmo and all proceeds will benefit the Panthers.

On Sunday, June 12, families will have the opportunity to talk football over breakfast with Masuk players and coaches in the school cafeteria.

Stacks of pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage are on the menu and donations are welcome. The breakfasts, which also include coffee and juice, will be served from 8 a.m. until noon.
