MONROE, CT — The Masuk High boys soccer team is holding a sneaker drive through Oct. 15 and will have its Cancer Awareness Game on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Sneakers may be dropped off at Masuk High School or the Monroe Town Hall lobby. Sneakers must be a pair, with or without laces — any size or brand (no cleats or dress shoes). Reusable sneakers will be recirculated to secondhand markets and heavily damaged footwear will be recycled for materials.

Masuk’s Cancer Awareness game is Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. when Brookfield visits. The team is raising money for a student athlete scholarship for those affected by cancer. Baked goods and refreshments will be sold during the game, and there will be a 50/50 raffle.
