Kellogg congratulates town employees for their years of dedicated service

Monroe Town Hall is located at 7 Fan Hill Road.

MONROE, CT — Dedicated employees serve Monroe’s residents every day, from the friendly staffers and custodial workers, who keep things running smoothly inside Town Hall and Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, to the public works crews who maintain town roads and police officers, who keep neighborhoods and businesses safe.

Since the annual ceremony recognizing town employees, who’ve reached significant milestones in their length of service, could not be held this year, First Selectman Ken Kellogg wrote a letter to show his appreciation.

“We have a great tradition of celebrating those on our team who have reached a milestone in their time working for the Town,” Kellogg wrote. “While the pandemic prevents us from our usual gathering, we cannot allow these challenges to prevent us from recognizing our dedicated employees.”

“Please join me in congratulating these employees,” he said. “Personally, and on behalf of our residents, I extend my gratitude to each of these individuals for their many years of service and dedication. I take great pride and honor in recognizing these employees.”

The first selectman went on to recognize 41 employees who, collectively, have given over 525 years of service:
