Golf outing promises food, prizes, fun, while supporting Masuk sports

MONROE, CT — Friends can hit the links at Whitney Farms Golf Course on Aug. 21, enter contests and enjoy food, beverages and an open bar, while supporting all of Masuk High School’s athletes.

The 14th annual Masuk High School All-Sports Booster Club (MASBC) Golf Outing will also feature awards and prizes.

Registration is for individuals $200 and it costs $800 for foursomes. Forms are available by clicking on this link. The online form is at the bottom of the page.

The MASBC’s members include parents of high school athletes, who volunteer their time with fundraising efforts to support Masuk’s sports teams. The golf outing is this year’s primary fundraiser.

Because of the loss of fundraising revenue from the cancellation of all late winter and spring sports, the success of this event is more important than ever, according to MASBC Golf Committee co-chairmen Tom DiBlasi and Jason Henry.

Among the things MASBC has provided over the past few years are all awards, varsity letters, banners, a Pixellot camera for the Masuk gym, basketball rims, a swim team pace clock, a golf cart, field hockey goals, toss back rebounders, Plyo boxes for the Weight Gym, a softball scoreboard, golf scoreholders and additional funds for completion of the stadium field.

Sponsors needed

The golf tournament is a great opportunity for local businesses who want to be sponsors. Organizers of the golf outing are offering a wide price range in sponsorships amid challenging times. Those interested in sponsoring the event should click on this link.
