Girl Scout Cookies’ popularity soars heading into Election Day

MONROE, CT — Supporters of Biden and Trump may never see eye-to-eye, but one thing on Election Day should garner overwhelmingly nonpartisan support. Girl Scouts are selling cookies at all four of Monroe’s polling places, as well as at the former Peachwave in Big Y shopping plaza, 535 Monroe Turnpike.

Election Week Cookie Sales is a limited fall cookie sale that will raise money for local Girl Scout Troops’ activities and programs they will embark on this year. Proceeds will stay in Connecticut to benefit its girls.

Funds from the cookie program ensure Girl Scouts are prepared for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure, in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls.

Girl Scout Cookie flavors include: Thin Mints®, Samoas®, Tagalongs®, Do-si-dos®, Trefoils®, Lemon-Ups®, and Girl Scout S’mores®.

Tuesday’s cookie sale schedule:

Fawn Hollow Elementary,8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Stepney Elementary, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Masuk High School, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

535 Monroe Turnpike, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
