Generators set up for last 22 Monroe homes with no power

MONROE, CT — Eversource set up emergency generators to power approximately 22 homes awaiting underground utility repairs, according to First Selectman Ken Kellogg.

Kellogg included the information in a final update on the town’s recovery from Tropical Storm Isaias Thursday.

“There is one remaining outage to an individual service line and a crew has been assigned to restore service today,” he said. “I am extremely grateful to our entire team involved in this response. Special thanks to our police officers, firefighters, emergency medical service personnel, emergency management, public works crews, CERT volunteers, and health department staff, who put in many hours during this response and recovery. We are also grateful to the utility crews in the field, who simply respond to where they are directed and get the job done.”
