Four juveniles were leaving a party Saturday night, when the driver lost control of the 2012 Audi S4 they were traveling in, went off Blanket Meadow Road and hit a house, before falling off a stonewall and catching fire, according to police.

When officers responding to the 10:35 p.m. call arrived on the scene, the car was engulfed in flames, but unoccupied, police said.

Firefighters and Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service personnel also responded to the scene. Police said one passenger suffered an arm injury and all four youths were taken to a hospital.

The driver, who is a juvenile and cannot be identified, was issued an infraction for driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain the proper lane and violation of a passenger restriction for 16- and 17-year-olds.

Nobody was home in the 50-block of Blanket Meadow Road during the crash, but police said the homeowner later said there was damage to the house’s foundation, starting at the garage level and continuing up to the rafters in the attic.

  1. Will the Sun do a follow up report, what was the damage, cost, charges and isn’t there DMV laws regarding juveniles driving restrictions?
