MONROE, CT — East Village Cemetery Association is hosting the 4th annual Lantern Light History Walk at the cemetery, 185 East Village Road, at 6, 7, and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 5, at 6 and 7 p.m.
The event features a country evening lantern light stroll through the crisp autumn air, while hearing new snippets of history and lore of the burial grounds and some notable residents.
Reservations are required and space is limited. The grounds are not handicap accessible due to uneven ground and hilly terrain. This event is not recommended for young children due to some subject matter.
A donation of $10 goes toward maintaining and preserving the cemetery.
