MONROE, CT — Monroe Elementary School teachers and staff starting their academic year Monday morning were greeted by colorful chalk art displays by the building entrances, welcoming them back and expressing appreciation and well wishes.
Among the messages were “Best teachers ever!” “Our teachers are superheroes!” “We miss you!” And “we love you! Welcome back!”
“The staff is back!” the school posted on its Facebook page. “Thank you to the PTO for the snacks and positive messages. Our staff is feeling loved this morning.”
