MONROE, CT — Stepney Baptist Church is pleased to announce that The Rev. Mat Samuelson has accepted the call to serve as the church’s new pastor. The congregation invites friends, neighbors and the wider community to join in welcoming Pastor Samuelson during worship this Sunday at Stepney Baptist Church, across from the Green on Main Street in Monroe.
Raised in Easton, Rev. Samuelson comes to Stepney Baptist from Glastonbury Community Church, where he faithfully served as pastor for the past 14 years. He brings with him an exemplary record of spiritual leadership, community involvement and devotion to the ministry of Christ.
“Pastor Mat’s heart for service and his commitment to sharing God’s Word are deeply evident,” said Carol Bussey, a member of Stepney Baptist Church. “We are excited to see how God will continue to work through him as he leads our congregation.”
Stepney Baptist Church looks forward to a new chapter of ministry and growth under Rev. Samuelson’s leadership. The congregation prays that God will grant him wisdom, grace and strength as he shepherds his new flock in Monroe and beyond.
