MONROE, Conn. — David Wang, of Monroe, uses precision craftsmanship to create solid, hardwood cutting boards customers can find at Benedict’s Home and Garden, 480 Purdy Hill Road. Over the last decade, Wang has generously donated all of the proceeds to the Monroe Food Pantry.
Food Pantry Director Eddie Lui said Wang recently presented a $2,500 check from his 2025 sales.
Wang, who has lived in Monroe for over 30 years, is a retired engineer from Sikorsky aircraft. His cutting boards are handmade with strict attention to detail to create a high quality product.
