Sarah Malione’s memory will ‘remain in our hearts forever’

Sarah D. Malione, age 30, passed away suddenly on August 25, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Sarah was born in Bridgeport on December 8, 1992 to Stephen and Cherie Malione. She grew up in Monroe and graduated from Masuk High School. Sarah went on to graduate from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing where she started her career as an R.N. at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She went on to become a Yale travel nurse.

Sarah then went on to be a homemaker and mother of two beautiful boys. She devoted her life to her children and did any and everything for them. Sarah was a hardworking, compassionate person, always available to help anyone.

Sarah enjoyed traveling, crafts and spending time with friends and family. She was a lifelong tribal member of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation. Sarah has a little sister who looked up to her. Shannon would always say that Sarah guided her through life as she was nine years older. She was her support and taught her to love and respect herself and others. Sarah was like a second mother to Shannon.

As a daughter, Sarah was loving, generous and supportive with a heart of gold.

Sarah is survived by her  fiancé Chris Rafael and her two children, Clayton 2, and Bradley, 1, mother, Cherie Malione, and her fiancé Charles Agid, her  sister Shannon Malione, grandmother, Betty Kaladish, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Malione, grandfather, Arthur “Larry” Kaladish “GPA” , Uncle Larry Kaladish Jr. her maternal great-grandparents Catherine and Paul Velky and her paternal great-grandparents Clarice and Lawrence Kaladish.

Sarah will be sadly missed and loved beyond words but remain in our hearts forever.

Her family will receive friends at the Spadaccino and Leo P Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpke., Monroe, on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at St. Lawrence Parish, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton.
