Panthers swim into bye week on winning note

Masuk High’s boys swim team has an off week from competition and will look to build off its 91-76 win at New Milford on Jan. 10 when the Panthers return to action at home, Jan. 24 against Bunnell-Stratford.

In the win over New Milford, Masuk’s 200 yard medley relay of Jack McHugh, Carter Adragna, Sam McHugh and Riley Sheppard placed first in 1:53.19.

Adragna got first in the 200 individual medley (2:15.75) as well as the 100 breaststroke (1:07.64). Sheppard was first in the 50 free (24.62) and 100 free (55.98). Sam McHugh came in first in the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:00.18. Jack McHugh won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.48.

The 200 free relay also took first and the 400 relay exhibitioned with the team victory in hand.
