MONROE, CT — Monroe Republican Town Chairman Ryan Condon proudly announced his committee’s full slate of candidates for the upcoming municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 4, which will include early voting from Oct. 20 to Nov. 2.
“Leading the ticket is Terry Rooney for first selectman, joined by a team of experienced, dedicated community leaders committed to keeping Monroe safe, vibrant, and fiscally responsible,” Condon said in a press release.
“Our candidates bring proven leadership and a record of results,” he said.
Among the highlights, according to Condon are:
- Over $4.5 million invested in public safety, community, and education improvements
- Over $1.8 million in grants for community development
- Award-winning schools
- Over 82 new businesses welcomed to town
- Improved planning and zoning technology for online permits
- Expanded availability of housing for residents over age 55
Joining Rooney on the Republican slate are candidates for Town Council, Board of Education, and key town offices:
