MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s boys volleyball reached the South-West Conference Championship match. The No. 2 Panthers defeated No. 3 Newtown 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-14) in Wednesday’s semifinal competition.
Dan Ferris had 22 kills, Michael Majerky 12 kills and Nathan Kurkoski 39 assists.
Masuk will visit top seed Joel Barlow of Redding (a 3-1 winner over No. 4 Pomperaug of Southbury) in the Friday, May 24, championship match at 6 p.m.
